Senior Structural Engineer

Join the JQOL team as a Senior Structural Engineer in Louisville.

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who holds a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (other states considered a plus). The ideal candidate is experienced with Revit and BIM 360 on architecturally-driven projects, and can lead a design team to deliver high-quality structural engineering construction documents. Excellent written and communication skills, strong planning and organizational abilities, and a proven capacity to manage multiple project deadlines are essential.

• Lead and delegate tasks to a design team, ensuring timely completion of structural engineering construction documents.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
• Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate with project architects, consulting engineers and contractors.
• Develop staff engineers and provide technical feedback.
• Conduct research and quality checks on unique structural conditions.

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Kentucky (other states acceptable).
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM 360.

Every day you will manage various projects, review work from other engineers, conduct research, and coordinate with architects and other team members. You will delegate tasks, design or draft as needed, and help develop staff engineers’ technical design skills.
