Senior Structural Project Engineer

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Structural Project Engineer for our client’s operation near Savannah, GA. • Review construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
• Resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Progress the various projects that you manage.
• Some design, reviewing the work of another engineer, doing research to understand a unique condition more thoroughly, coordinating with the project architect/other consulting engineer/contractor.
• Work with other staff engineers daily by delegating tasks, design or drafting depending on experience level.
• Develop the staff engineers on the technical design side and help them understand how other disciplines impact structural design.

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experienced in working with Revit and BIM 360 on architecturally driven projects.
• Ability to lead a design team on projects to successfully deliver structural engineering construction documents.
• Ability to delegate and manage tasks assigned to other team members.
• Excellent written and communication skills and strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure on multiple project deadlines is also a must.
• Excellent attention to detailing complex building components and a strong understanding of various building components and systems of various materials.
• Experience with client communication.
