RS Sr Inspector A&P - 2nd Shift ($2,500 Sign-on Bonus)
Join Gulfstream Aerospace as a Senior Inspector A&P working the 2nd shift and receive a $2,500 sign‑on bonus.
Job OverviewThis role involves performing inspections of aircraft, components, and related documentation to ensure compliance with FAA/CAA standards and that aircraft are airworthy before return to service.
Responsibilities- Perform quality‑control inspections on aircraft and components.
- Complete inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA‑approved data.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting.
- Maintain accurate, neat, and legible records of work performed on aircraft and components.
- Coordinate with RTS to produce accurate aircraft records in a timely manner.
- Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy before approval for return to service.
- Ensure aircraft and components are airworthy before any flight activities.
- Mentor technicians on effective documentation.
- Communicate with management to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
- Provide technical support to inspection personnel to support FAA and/or CAA documented requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 8 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
- At least 2 years of Gulfstream aircraft experience and 2 years of aircraft inspection experience.
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
- Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC procedures.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance and/or quality control systems and methodologies.
- Must read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work from ladders, stands, and heights, and occasionally work in confined spaces.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Second/Evening Shift Monday through Thursday.
