Systems Engineer, Test Engineer, Aerospace / Aviation / Avionics, Electrical Engineering
Onsite in Savannah, GA
If you’re an experienced aircraft systems engineer who wants to stay close to the hardware, testing, and aircraft, Gulfstream offers an environment built for that kind of work.
Our robust laboratory capabilities, backed by continued capital investment, give engineers greater access to sophisticated testing and the ability to investigate, learn, and validate solutions faster. For an Environmental Control Systems expert, our onsite ECS lab means fewer barriers between identifying a problem, testing an idea, and moving an effective solution forward.
As an Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Technical Specialist 2, you’ll serve as a technical authority supporting the design, integration, certification, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Gulfstream aircraft environmental control systems.
This opportunity also offers something that can be difficult to find in aircraft engineering:
technical work that spans the full aircraft lifecycle. You can contribute during initial aircraft development and certification, support production, and continue solving technical challenges for aircraft operating in the Gulfstream fleet.
Your expertise will support cabin pressurization, air conditioning, ventilation, temperature control, pneumatic systems, and associated aircraft interfaces, with opportunities to solve complex problems that directly affect aircraft performance, reliability, maintainability, and the customer experience.
Why GulfstreamGulfstream has established, highly capable laboratory facilities and continues to make capital investments in the facilities, equipment, and testing capabilities that support aircraft engineering
.
For engineers, that investment matters. Greater access to laboratory testing can shorten the distance between a technical question and meaningful data. It creates more opportunities to investigate system behavior, test ideas, validate solutions, and apply what is learned back to the aircraft.
Combined with work that extends from aircraft development through production and customer support, this role provides the opportunity to build deep technical expertise while contributing well beyond a single aircraft program or development phase.
What You Will Do- Provide technical leadership and engineering support for aircraft Environmental Control Systems
. - Analyze ECS performance data and troubleshoot complex system anomalies, failures, and customer-reported issues.
- Support laboratory, ground, and flight testing
, using engineering and test data to understand system behavior and evaluate solutions. - Develop and implement corrective actions that improve system reliability, maintainability, and operational performance.
- Support aircraft development, system integration, qualification, certification, production, and in-service fleet activities.
- Lead structured root-cause investigations and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure component and system performance meets program requirements.
- Review engineering documentation and provide technical guidance across engineering, manufacturing, quality, flight operations, certification, and customer support.
- Apply technical judgment to solutions that balance aircraft performance, cost, and schedule.
- You approach complex ECS challenges at the system level and make sound, independent technical decisions.
- You turn laboratory, aircraft, and performance data into clear technical conclusions and practical solutions.
- You are a trusted technical resource when difficult aircraft systems problems arise.
- You communicate complex engineering…
