About the roleA Ghost Host brings a sense of fun and entertains guests while sharing stories of Savannah's haunted past. They must make guests feel welcomed and glad they chose our company to entertain them.
Availability- Monday–Thursday availability is a must; open availability is a plus.
- Competitive pay and paid training: $18 per hour + tips; most Ghost Actors average around $25 per hour, depending on tips.
- 2 weeks paid vacation for full‑time employees; paid sick time, 401(k) plan with company matching for all employees.

- Present historically accurate information in an entertaining manner in costume on a moving trolley on busy streets and outdoors in various weather conditions, several times during a work shift, in a loud audible voice with or without amplification.
- Portray costume historical characters, either based upon real persons or composites of real persons to entertain and narrate local history from an approved script.
- Study and rehearse roles from scripts to learn and memorize lines and cues as directed.
- Ability to fill multiple acting roles within the tour and switch positions with ease when required during a work shift.
- Use props as directed and remain on show schedule when performing.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn and memorize scripted materials and historical details.
- Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations to satisfy the needs of guests.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and difficult people while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English in order to communicate with fellow employees and the general public.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work outside.
- High school graduate or equivalent – preferred.
- Strong interest in history – desirable.
- Prior performance or interpretation experience – preferred.
- Must pass pre‑employment background check and substance abuse testing.
- Have a passion for helping people and making their Savannah experience a memorable one.
