The Sterile Processing Tech II, under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Manager, Supervisor, and Lead Tech(s), performs duties related to Sterile Processing. These include decontamination of instruments, tray assembly, sterilization, preparing case carts for scheduled and emergency cases, and cleaning the department. The Tech II is also responsible for training Tech(s) and Assistants.

• High School Diploma - Preferred
• 2-3 Years Sterile Processing or CST - Required
• National Certification - Required
• Additional certification (CIS, CER, CHL, CSIS, CFER, CSPM, CASSPT) required before the end of the first year as Sterile Services Tech II

• Handle and process all products according to Manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU), ensuring timely and respectful processing. All cannulations are brushed and flushed without exception.
• Inspect and handle each item or tray carefully, with proper labeling and use of chemical indicators. Maintain sterilization records accurately, including biologicals, print receipts, and documentation of any failures.
• Assemble and pick case carts accurately and promptly based on surgeons' preference cards, identifying and communicating any missing items. Scan trays for tracking and visibility.
• Assess training needs and provide training to co-workers, maintaining up-to-date training records.
• Use supplies responsibly, avoid waste, and ensure cleanliness of the sterile processing department, locker room, and admin offices.
• Support and contribute to the organization’s culture and mission, treating colleagues and patients with respect and care.
