• Analyzes patient records for completeness, including signatures and dictation, following regulatory and hospital guidelines.
• Prepares paper documents for scanning, ensuring correct patient identification.
• Uses Document Imaging applications to scan, index, and ensure quality assurance.
• Reviews scanned documents, indexes appropriately, and manages record repairs and organization.
• Answers phone calls professionally, maintaining confidentiality.
• Assists physicians with locating information and instructs on dictation or e-signature processes.
• Monitors receipt of records and maintains tracking logs.

• Preferred:
  Associates of Health Information Administration.
• Preferred: 1-2 years experience in medical or electronic records processing.
• Certification:
  None required.
