Overview
Analyst will serve as technical subject matter expert within the practice, pertaining to the Allscripts-Veradigm platform. Analyst will be a key operational partner to physicians, clinical teams and administration. They will maintain an excellent technical knowledge of the software application and best practices, and will stay abreast of upcoming changes, software options, risk mitigation techniques, and the overarching system strategy as per administration.
Analyst will be an excellent steward of organizational finances and time. Analyst will manage PM & EHR troubleshooting, and oversee upgrades and programs interfacing with the system. They will serve as expert resource for ambulatory providers and teams. Adheres to regulatory requirements and SJ/C Strategic Information Systems goals.
- Problem resolution for clinical and support staff within the Allscripts system. Build and maintain system user accounts, create profiles for new users/providers, terminate accounts as requested, and serve as central SME on end-user access and security to EHR. Create and terminate new end-users per HR status.
- Analyze and resolve problems for ambulatory applications; provide on-site support during go-lives and upgrades. Escalate issues outside of scope to appropriate person, vendor, or group. Research functionality options and resolutions; ensure vendors have necessary information to resolve problems. Provide password and account reset assistance.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage software upgrades, interface testing, and deployments across practice locations. Manually install software/add-ons as needed and assist with hardware recommendations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive software test scenarios for new or upgraded applications prior to live release. Report issues to vendors and in-house staff during testing to ensure timely resolution.
- Serve as a resource for other application support analysts; assist with troubleshooting, testing scenarios, and monitoring the impact on provider workflows. Lead system maintenance and build; assist with clinical documentation templates and referral software/interface. Maintain and customize user dictionaries, menus and screen displays per management approval.
- Lead end-user training and education efforts for Allscripts; provide hands-on training, on-site support, and regular training forums. Create training materials, tip sheets, and visual aids as needed; stay current on EHR offerings, upgrades, best practices, and training tools.
- Maintain knowledge of software applications, best practice workflows, and upcoming changes; monitor workflow adherence and provide feedback on processes. Recommend automation opportunities and manage change requests through the change management process.
- Oversee new software/integration/updates/interface deployments, manage preparation and rollout within the practice, and ensure alignment with clinical needs and workflows. Interact with clinicians and staff to assess technology effectiveness and improve efficiency.
- Provide data extraction, integrity validation, report writing, KPI/metric mapping, and analytics support as requested by leadership. Create workbench reports in absence of manager and support MIPs data submission and reporting/quality build and mapping.
- Maintain timely communication with practitioners and stakeholders; manage vendor relationships and ensure accountability for assigned work. Participate in vendor training and user groups; collaborate with IT, compliance, and other departments to ensure privacy and security requirements are met.
- Lead projects related to electronic medical record functionality; document changes for sign-off, assist with workflow mapping, and provide basic hardware and device troubleshooting. Escalate issues to IS as appropriate.
- Bachelors Degree - Required
- 3-5 Years supporting computer software applications, project management and health system functions and relationships - Required
- 1 Year installing/maintaining computer system applications - Required
- 1 Year ambulatory medical practice work experience - Preferred
- Formal training in information systems, desktop applications, databases, software development packages, and programming languages ideal;
Basic to advanced technical troubleshooting preferred;
Training on Microsoft Windows OS, Office applications, and assigned software applications;
Excellent problem solving and communication skills - License & Certification:
