Responsible for the operations of Smart Senior, including processing all invoices, recording and posting payments for events or membership dues, providing information for budget preparation, researching budget variances, securing competitive bids on services, developing programming, and managing personnel. Ensures adherence to internal auditing processes. Manages the membership database, recruitment, retention, and satisfaction. Responsible for at least three large external special events annually, overseeing their schedule, performance, and the responsibilities of the SS Program Associate.
Performs other Smart Senior services as needed. Must be able to work independently.
Education
Bachelor of Arts - Preferred
Experience
3-5 years in office operations - Required
2-3 years in coordinating special events, public relations, or senior services activities - Required
Experience in personnel management is a plus. Must have at least 3 years of experience in office operations, including accounting functions and event planning.
License & Certification

Core Job Functions
- Handle accounts payable and receivables, billing, record-keeping, maintain the membership database, and make deposits. Manage expenses and track budget variances for CMO. Prepare submissions for annual operational and capital budgets.
- Manage all details related to major events and activities, including planning, budgeting, and vendor contracting. Oversee delegated event duties to the SS Associate.
- Promote Smart Senior through community speaking engagements and participation in senior-related activities.
- Monitor vendor contracts for relevance and cost-effectiveness.
- Delegate events and activities to the SS Associate, monitor the SS publication, conduct training on office practices, and evaluate the Associate's performance.
- Recruit new members, monitor retention and satisfaction, and strive to create an exceptional experience.
