Job DescriptionSupervise and monitor all due diligence projects in progress within the department, ensuring timely execution that meets client requirements and conforms to company policies, procedures, and standards. Oversee the preparation of proposals and cost estimates to clients, ensuring proper scoping, manpower availability, and pricing for desired profitability. Manage daily operations of the due diligence group, including staff training, development, performance review, equipment utilization, safety oversight, quality of services and work products, and adherence to policies.
Plan and participate in business development activities to identify, develop, win, and execute project opportunities while building and maintaining client relationships.
EssentialRoles And Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Perform business and client development activities with support from the Department/Office Manager.
- Develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
- Prepare and execute the annual business plan for the specialty service group.
- Oversee and manage key group metrics of revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability.
- Develop understanding of project-related risk and be familiar with company risk policies.
- Lead safety efforts for the team, ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines, and promote pre-task planning for all projects.
- Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects; monitor and promote quality standards and practices.
- Maintain consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline practiced by the firm (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology) and 5 years of practice experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Certification or licensure in the field of expertise.
- Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.
