Position OverviewThe Conveyable Loader position requires an associate to load cases onto a pallet, remove cases from the conveyors, and palletize them to load onto the truck. Conveyable loaders must move at a fast pace, read labels, identify routes, and handle cases without breaking them. He or she meets standard productivity goals daily and handles all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure workplace.
Specific duties and responsibilities are assigned according to the workstation.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Six months of experience in a similar position strongly preferred
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack, forklift, and other power equipment preferred
- Accurately read route numbers and truck numbers to ensure the correct truck is being loaded
- Accurately use the Company’s Warehouse management system to make sure all cases are accounted for on the manifest
- Ensure all loads are properly stacked, secured, and stable
- Identify damages and safely clean up spills
- Operate a hand truck and a motorized electric pallet jack
- Safely operate the conveyor line and properly shut it down in case of emergency
Keep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation of stock, and security are maintained - Assist with physical inventories as required
- Assist in other areas when necessary or assigned
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Report in writing any safety or mechanical problems with power equipment
- Conduct operations and maintain the facility in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner

- Able to frequently operate a pallet jack and/or forklift if assigned
- Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Able to perform greater than average lifting (50–65 lbs) with some overhead lifting required
- Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision and the ability to judge distance
