ROSS Systems & Controls, located in Savannah, GA
, specializes in the turnkey supply of industrial electrical control panels, including engineering, manufacturing, and support. We are seeking an entry level Automation Engineer to join our growing team.
- Design and implement PLC / HMI based automated control systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments.
- Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Follow established quality and safety standards.
- Experience with the design and implementation of automated systems, especially as related to manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of RS Logix / Studio 5000 / FT View and Siemens Step 7 / Tia Portal.
- Strong ability with software testing and validation.
- Superb communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with shop personnel.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Minimum 3 years of solid hands-on experience in PLC , HMI, SCADA programming along with networking skills.
- Experience completing control panel projects from start to finish preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to noise, metal chips, cutting, and grinding.
- Must pass a DOT drug screen.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
ROSS Systems & Controls operates in a 6,000-square-foot, climate-controlled manufacturing facility
