Local Outreach Pastor

The Central Local Engagement Leader/Pastor is responsible for directing and developing Compassion Christian Church's Local Outreach ministry, furthering the church's mission to lead others to a life-changing relationship with Jesus by leading and equipping staff and volunteers in effective outreach strategies and best practices within the surrounding region.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Strategic Vision & Systems Design (E4, GC):
  Develop and implement a comprehensive, scalable vision for local outreach across all campuses. Create and maintain effective systems, processes, and standards for training, support, and assessment of outreach initiatives to empower campus leaders with the resources they need to engage their communities.
• Campus Outreach Support & Collaboration (E4, W/M):
  Provide direct support and collaboration to campus pastors and teams in planning, execution, and evaluation of local outreach efforts. Facilitate communication, resource allocation, and conflict resolution among campus teams and partners.
• Lighthouse Ministry Leadership & Development (E4, GC):
  Oversee the Lighthouse ministry, including recruitment, training, development, and celebration of Lighthouse Team Leaders. Build a sustainable and impactful leadership pipeline to empower others in the outreach work.
• Community Engagement & Partnerships (RW, W/M):
  Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders. Identify needs within the community, develop strategic partnerships, and coordinate outreach efforts that address those needs, directly engaging with the community through impactful initiatives.
• Crisis Response & Compassionate Care (RW, W/M):
  Oversee and support Crisis on Call and Benevolence/Care Office ministries. Respond swiftly and compassionately to urgent needs within the community, offering practical support and spiritual guidance.

• Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and actively engages in spiritual growth.
• Participates in regular accountability with a designated staff partner or approved individual.

• Supports and upholds the policies and procedures outlined in the CCC Employee Handbook.

• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a local church outreach ministry role, demonstrating progressive responsibility in developing and implementing outreach strategies. Transferable competencies from related fields will also be considered.
