Coastal Harbor Health System includes a 145‑bed children and adolescent hospital and a 50‑bed adult inpatient facility in Savannah, GA, providing both short‑term and long‑term care. We are committed to compassionate, patient‑centered treatment for local and regional patients.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a systematic approach to identify and record known or suspected infections in patients and employees. Perform periodic inspections to ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
Help control the spread of infection by assessing infection type and required steps, and prepare monthly reports for the Infection Control Committee detailing infection rates by nursing unit and infection type.
Maintain compliance for new employee health screenings and immunizations.
Facilitate regular training and education sessions for Nursing Services staff, providing ongoing RN nursing education on topics related to performance improvement, Joint Commission and state/federal regulatory requirements.

- License to practice Nursing in the State of Georgia
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred certification in Infection Prevention/Control (CIC)
- Thorough knowledge of TJC, Medicare, and OSHA regulations as well as all other State and Federal regulatory standards
