PH Registered Nurse 2-Chatham role at Georgia Department of Public Health. Pay Grade: L.

Responsibilities- Under general supervision, provide care for patients under the Family Planning, STD, HIV, and TB protocols. Complete physicals, diagnose, treat, and manage care of all patients seen in the clinic.
- Provides comprehensive assessment of clients' health care needs.
- Provide treatments, administer medications/vaccines, and preventative/maintenance care to clients and families.
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records.
- Modify client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
- Monitor all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity.
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in clients’ conditions.
- Prepare clients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments.
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure stock of supplies is maintained.
- Provide education to clients, families, and community service providers.
- Provide health care, first aid, and immunizations.
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience with completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Registered Nurse 1 (HCP
190) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting preferred. 2+ years of patient/client case management experience.
