Position
Georgia Department of Public Health is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for our Fast Track immunization department. The role requires administering vaccines, documenting, assisting in WIC, and providing assistance to Public Health Nurses and county programs.
Responsibilities- Under direct supervision, provide assistance to Public Health Nurses and county programs.
- Administer vaccines to patients across the lifespan and provide appropriate documentation.
- Assist in WIC programs.
- PH LPN 1 – Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practise as a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certification. Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN. Starting Salary $32,170.
- PH LPN 2 – Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college AND Two years of LPN public‑health experience AND current Georgia license to practise as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND CPR certification or one year of experience required at the lower level PH LPN 1 (HCT
110) or equivalent.
