Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time – Nights*

InGenesis is currently seeking Registered Nurses to work with our client in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will perform comprehensive behavioral health nursing services to hospital patients.

• Vital sign screenings
• Urgent care assessments and treatment
• Provide Nursing Assessment at admission – perform initial assessment, health history, nursing assessment, risk assessment, routine laboratory studies as indicated or directed on every patient within two (2) hours of patient’s arrival
• Conduct routine physical examinations upon patients’ entry to the Department hospital site
• Dispense (including sub‑cutaneous) injections and monitor medications per Doctors orders
• Document and record in patients record all nursing related encounters
• Perform approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors
• Interface with Community Based Mental Health Provider, Hospitals, and entities for continuation of Patient Care, including transfer, bed information, etc.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in patient assessments
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Proficient with health assessment tools
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• AHA (American Heart Association) CPR/BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year inpatient psych nursing experience – detox and corrections will be considered
• Prefer minimum of 1 year hospital medical experience
