Immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑time Experienced Mid‑Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet at Ryder in Savannah, Georgia.

• Hourly Pay: $27.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to a maximum of $700
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter (four times per year)
• Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days

  Monday – Friday

  Second Shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree, or technical certifications (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work)
• Two or more years of classroom training and/or work experience in required areas (preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain a CDL within six months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform required repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Carry out facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers and drivers to determine nature of complaints when assigned a task
• Use shop management system and electronic documentation tools
• Comply with all federal, provincial, and corporate safety, DOT, and MOT guidelines
• Perform additional support duties as required to support operations (e.g., service island support)
