ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will serve as an Electrical Service / UPS Installation Systems Technician within our Service & National Accounts Group, which operates 24/7 to support our customers. We pride ourselves on providing top-tier support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
This regional service role requires regular travel across the United States. Your responsibilities include installing UPS systems and servicing electrical equipment and systems per plans, specifications, and codes. You will resolve customer electrical issues professionally and safely, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices based on blueprints and plans.
- Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, panels, sensors, and components.
- Inspecting sites and studying work orders, plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
- Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity with test devices.
- Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and tools to identify and fix issues.
- Training and supervising workers in installation, maintenance, or repair tasks.
This position involves approximately 60% travel nationwide.
Qualifications- HS diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in the electrical service industry, specifically with UPS systems.
- Successful background check and drug test.
- Valid driving record, with potential use of a company vehicle.
- Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Comfort with smart devices and web applications.
- Commitment to high-quality work and safety standards.
- Proper attire including OSHA-approved boots and shirts covering shoulders.
- Punctuality, teamwork, and safety consciousness.
- Journeyman's license or equivalent.
- Additional certifications like Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, UPS installation experience.
