Job DescriptionShipping and Receiving Material Handlers are responsible for the receiving and shipping of warehouse stock by means of safely utilizing warehouse equipment so that customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
o Receiving/stocking inventory to fulfill orders as they are processed to ensure that customers receive order in a short time frame and as accurate as possible.
o Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to carry out job duties to ensure a safe work environment
o Keeping work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment
o Communicating with warehouse receiving manager with any issues or concerns that arise regarding work duties
o Performing other duties and tasks not listed as requested by both the shipping and outside assistant shipping supervisors
Skills/Abilities:
o Must be able push and pull up to 150lbs
o Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs
o Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, and stand throughout shift
Physical Requirements- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
Skills/Abilities:
o Must be able push and pull up to 150lbs
o Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75lbs
o Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, and stand throughout shift
