Preschool After Care Teacher Assistant

Teacher's Assistant/Aide - AFTER CARE / SUBSTITUTE

Part-Time schedule:
Monday to Friday 1:45pm to 6pm (Part-Time). On Early Dismissal Days, the hours are 11:45am to 6pm. Must be 18 or older.

• Assist the Lead teacher with activities, care of the children, keeping the classroom tidy, and classroom management during school hours.
• Plan afternoon activities to create a peaceful environment (music and movement, playing outside, crafts, reading stories, art, games, etc.).
• Create weekly, seasonal art projects.
• Interact with children through games, Lego, board games, dancing, outdoor play, etc.
• Greet parents upon arrival and pick‑up.
• Serve as liaison between head teacher and parents, communicating important information.
• Communicate aftercare happenings to morning teachers via note, phone, email or text.
• Substitute for coverage when needed.
• Clean up and prepare classrooms and restrooms for the next day.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred experience:
  
  working with young children, babysitting, caring for own children, or other childcare experience.
• Knowledge or training in Tools of the Mind is a plus.
• Must be 18 or older.
