Why this role- Own the conversion of structural intent into accurate, code‑compliant shop drawings.
- Partner with consulting engineering firms and construction companies to solve field challenges.
- Shape cost, schedule, and logistics alongside a supportive Department Manager.
- Create structural shop drawings and detailed rebar layouts that meet specifications, applicable codes/standards, and reliability requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and resolve design or installation constraints.
- Prepare/review plans and drawings; execute detailed drafting work.
- Assist with material takeoffs and cost estimates; present pricing.
- Contribute to civil engineering design tasks as needed.
- Maintain organized engineering records and project files.
- Draft and share project descriptions, schedules, and milestones.
- Analyze product design, customer needs, and performance standards; define project specifications.
- Evaluate contractor bids, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate technical work via meetings and proactive communication.
- BS degree.
- Fluency in AutoCAD; skilled at interpreting architectural, structural, and process drawings.
- Track record solving complex technical problems spanning multiple technologies; able to advise and troubleshoot.
- Leadership capabilities to guide cross‑functional teams; strong influencing skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and elevate team performance and engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Occasional travel (typically).
- Comfort making independent, well‑reasoned decisions.

- Pay: $50,000–$60,000 (exempt)
