Our new retail location in Sayreville, NJ will feature 200,000 square feet of a completely unique custom design. , you’ll lead from the front, guiding daily store operations while cultivating a culture rooted in customer service, team spirit, and legendary outdoor heritage. You’ll drive results, energize your team, and create customer experiences that embody our reputation as one of the most beloved retailers in the country.
- Lead with purpose:
Manage the store leadership team and indirectly oversee all other department leaders and associates. - Hire and inspire:
Ensure the store is staffed with friendly, knowledgeable team members by participating in hiring, training, coaching, and development. - Create Legendary Experiences:

Meet or exceed all sales, payroll, and profit targets while maintaining operational efficiency. - Keep it Running Smoothly:
Monitor store inventory, cash handling, operating accounts, and compliance to ensure integrity across all store systems. - Bring the Brand to Life:
Bring corporate merchandising, marketing, and promotional strategies to life on the floor. - Keep Camp Clean & Safe:
Ensure the store environment is organized, well‑maintained, and safe for both customers and associates. - Problem‑solve with confidence:
Resolve customer concerns and associate issues efficiently, professionally, and with integrity & care. - Promote our programs:
Assist customers in exploring our CLUB Membership, VOC, and In‑Store Pickup offerings to enhance their experience. - Foster the Culture:
Lead by example, foster team unity, and uphold our company values in every interaction.
- Trail Tested
Experience:
5+ years of experience in high‑volume, big‑box retail management. Multi‑unit, district or regional leadership experience is a major plus. - Sharp Eye for Business:
Skilled in reading reports, managing performance metrics, and making data‑driven decisions. Solid understanding of sales metrics, financial reports, and performance drivers. - People Leadership:
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities. - Technical Savvy:
Comfortable using point‑of‑sale systems, spreadsheets, inventory tools, and Microsoft Office programs. - Clear Communication:
Excellent verbal & written communication, with the ability to lead meetings & coach teams. - Presentation
Skills:
Ability to lead meetings, engage large teams, and represent the brand professionally.
This role requires a hands‑on leader who’s comfortable on their feet, engaging with teams and customers. You’ll occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work outdoors, and be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels.
