To ensure all raw materials are unloaded, inspected, received, stored, inventoried, staged, and utilized to achieve the highest possible production efficiency and material yield while maintaining inventory accuracy, product safety, FIFO compliance, material traceability, and compliance with GMP, BRCGS, and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Unload all inbound truck-delivered raw materials from vendors or other Sabert facilities.
- Support Quality on the staging, identification, inspection, and disposition of raw materials.
- Perform SAP receiving transactions for all raw material receipts, including truckload and bulk resin deliveries.
- Verify all incoming materials are properly identified, labeled, weighed, documented, and assigned the correct lot and inventory information.
- Ensure all receiving paperwork, vendor documentation, bills of lading, and inventory records are complete and accurate.
- Rotate raw materials ensuring FIFO is followed at all times throughout receiving, storage, staging, and production consumption.
- Stage and replenish raw materials for production to support uninterrupted operations.
- Support bulk raw material deliveries, ensuring materials are loaded into the correct silo and available silo capacity is verified prior to unloading.
- Assist with silo changeovers, resin transfers, and bulk unloading activities as required.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts as directed by the Materials Administrator.
- Participate in monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Support inventory counting programs and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Verify material quantities, locations, SU numbers, material numbers, and inventory status information during cycle counts and audits.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, missing inventory, SAP variances, location errors, and unidentified materials.
- Maintain accurate rack locations and inventory storage assignments.
- Ensure raw materials are stored in designated locations and protected from contamination, moisture, and damage.
- Perform routine audits of warehouse racks, trailers, storage areas, and staging locations to verify organization, labeling, FIFO compliance, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all raw materials, partial quantities, and production returns are properly covered, labeled, weighed, identified, and stored.
- Verify returned materials contain the correct SAP item number, weight information, and lot traceability.
- Maintain segregation of approved, hold, rejected, scrap, regrind, and other designated inventory classifications.
- Escalate damaged, wet, contaminated, unidentified, mixed, or non-conforming materials to Quality and management immediately.
- Coordinate the disposition and return of rejected raw materials to vendors including preparation of required documentation and shipping paperwork.
- Load scrap pallets and other approved return materials for vendor credit or disposal.
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready raw material warehouses, staging areas, racks, trailers, silo areas, and storage locations.
- Ensure material labels remain visible and accessible for inventory and traceability purposes.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, BRCGS, food safety, product safety, and traceability requirements.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, inventory audits, and BRCGS audits as required.
- Assist with investigations related to inventory accuracy, contamination events, inventory recovery efforts, and material discrepancies.
- Support Material Handling personnel during large resin spills, inventory recovery projects, warehouse organization efforts, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment deficiencies.
- Maintain safe forklift operation and comply with all pedestrian safety and warehouse traffic requirements.
- Maintain clear access to emergency exits, fire extinguishers, electrical panels, eye wash stations, and other safety equipment.
- Complete all required safety, GMP, food safety, and company training programs.
- Work safely and in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Must be able to communicate, read, and write in English.
