Summary: Detail-oriented and data-driven professional with over two years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply chain coordination. Adept at leveraging MRP systems to manage inventory, optimize purchasing, and ensure a seamless flow of materials. Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and provide strategic recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and prevent disruptions.
MRP & Inventory Management- Managed and maintained critical MRP data within the purchasing software, updating item lot sizing, order multiples, and other key parameters to drive accurate MRP recommendations.
- Analyzed MRP output to schedule incoming receipts and define purchasing and transfer needs, ensuring material availability to meet production or sales demand.
- Adjusted purchasing transactions such as expected receipt dates and lead times in response to supply chain issues and vendor performance, mitigating the risk of stockouts.
- Utilized external and internal data to advise internal teams on expected shortages or overages, enabling proactive decision-making.
- Executed procurement plans generated by the MRP system, negotiating rates and booking shipments with freight vendors.
- Defined routes and contract lanes.
- Maintained a calendar of all expected shipments, expediting orders when needed.
- Served as the primary liaison for both freight and supply vendors, resolving performance issues and ensuring compliance with all required documentation.
- Reviewed and interpreted MRP reports to identify discrepancies and troubleshoot issues related to shipment delays, receiving errors, and unexpected costs.
- Advised management on potential risks and opportunities identified through MRP analysis, such as optimizing shipping fees or preventing penalties.
- Ensured all procurement and receiving documentation was accurate, maintaining data integrity for the MRP system and subsequent financial and inventory reporting.
- Over two years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven ability to manage vendor relationships and optimize logistics processes.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective in negotiating with vendors and providing clear, timely updates to other departments.
- Proficient in Net Suite ERP with a solid understanding of supply chain principles and MRP.
