Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our multi-faceted Product Development Team. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing product designs for the adventure van market. Our ideal candidate has a background in design for manufacturing and experience with sheet metal and tube weldments/structures. Experience designing machined parts is also preferred. We work solely in Solidworks, extensive experience with this program is necessary.

We are a small team and rely on each other to be driven and motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects lab oration is in our DNA and is what makes our team as strong as it is. We are seeking an individual that thrives in this kind of environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop vehicle components.
  • Test components in real world scenarios.
  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges, including troubleshooting product failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Create packaging designs and technical drawings for manufacturing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of product specifications, design changes, and testing results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to inform design decisions and drive innovation.
  • Manage quality control documentation and implementation with our QA partners and factories.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to bring innovative products from concept to market.
Qualifications
  • Extensive Solidworks experience
    • 3D modelling
    • 3D scanning (performing scans and prepping files for use)
    • Technical drawings
  • Knowledge and experience of sheet metal and tube assemblies and weldments
  • Design for manufacturing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • Manufacturing/building/fabrication experience is a plus.
Summary of Experience and Education
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to pay close attention to detail.
