• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Enforce all safety and sanitation regulations, guidelines, and programs; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
• Maintain departmental standards, keeping workstations, displays, and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
• Follow company guidelines for computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of non-legend drugs.
• Handle all aspects of inventory control, including shelf maintenance.
• Answer phone calls, triage calls and inquiries, and respond appropriately.
• Promote sales and services to customers and store associates.
• Apply vendor coupon policies, cash shortage limits, and company shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register, tendering electronic funds transactions (Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, Gift Cards), cash, and check transactions in accordance with cashier policies.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently performing all steps of release to patient and product dispensing, if allowable by state law.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidential health information.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Manage conflict in a realistic, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Desired

• Previous comparable experience.
• Experience in customer service, including registries, phone, and cashier duties.
• Experience with inventory control in a retail environment.
