Responsibilities- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations and company procedures, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
- Maintain departmental standards, including clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas.
- Follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management for non-legend drugs.
- Perform all aspects of allowable inventory control, including shelf maintenance.
- Answer phone calls and triage inquiries appropriately.
- Promote sales and services to customers and store associates.
- Adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
- Operate cash registers, tender electronic fund transactions (Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, Gift Cards), cash, and check transactions following cashier handling policies.
- Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately performing all steps of patient release and product dispensing (if allowable by state law).
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidential information.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment; manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner; act with honesty and integrity; seek assistance when needed.
- Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults through direct interaction.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
Desired
- Previous comparable experience.
- Experience with customer service, including registries, phone, and cashier operations.
- Experience with inventory control in a retail environment.
