What Is The Opportunity?

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rails and Systems (SSE-SRS) package. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough.

The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools and other key destinations throughout the city.

As part of the Scarborough Transit Connect project based in Scarborough, Aecon is looking for a qualified Superintendent to join our team.

What You'll Do Here:

Champion a Safety‑First culture, ensuring all work complies with Aecon’s Environmental Health & Safety Program and provincial OH&S legislation.

Lead and promote safe work practices through planning, hazard assessments, FLRAs, mentorship, safety meetings, and site inspections.

Support daily project execution by coordinating crews, guiding Foremen, and translating plans, drawings, and specifications into clear work activities and priorities.

Monitor productivity and quality, proactively addressing challenges to maintain schedules, budgets, and production targets.

Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to ensure efficient site access and timely project delivery.
