Lab Patient Technician Part Time

Join Life Labs as a Lab Patient Technician in Scarborough, ON, working part time. This float position focuses on patient care through specimen collection and critical lab operations.

As a Lab Patient Technician, you will engage with patients, perform essential testing, and contribute to accurate diagnostic results. Your responsibilities include collecting specimens and ensuring proper protocols are followed, all while traveling to various Patient Service Centres to meet community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and verify patient information before testing

• Execute phlebotomies and ECG tracings accurately

• Manage special test collections with attention to detail

• Foster positive relationships with clients and responders

• Ensure data entry for demographics and requisitions

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved Laboratory Assistant program

• Prior phlebotomy experience is advantageous

• Familiarity with ECG procedures preferred

• Proficient computer skills with a typing speed of 40 wpm

• Empathetic and adaptable to patient needs
