Delivery Lead
Join a purpose-driven, high-performing team committed to results and inclusive culture. The role is part of Canadian Banking Engineering, focused on modernizing mission-critical applications and delivering scalable, fault-tolerant production systems.
Responsibilities- Lead strategy, problem solving, and challenge solution engineers to build outstanding products and services.
- Ensure products are well maintained by identifying and eliminating technical debt.
- Showcase project progress, hold people accountable, and keep delivery on track.
- Participate in requirements and design discussions to build the best customer experience.
- Design and implement best practices and processes.
- Assist in architectural solution designs, roadmaps, and strategies aligned to enterprise standards for modernization.
- Present and leverage technical information to establish trust, persuade stakeholders, and achieve consensus at all levels.
- Assess and analyze business strategy, requirements, current technical environment, and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives.
- Participate in planning and review sessions.
- Partner with multiple teams across the bank to collaborate on strategy and direction.
- Assist senior management in enforcing standards and methodology, ensuring solutions align with the technology roadmap, and mentor the technical team on a project-to-project basis.
- Technical working experience with HTML and ability to partner with business to deliver on project requirements, including account setup and configurations.
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
- Knowledge of User Experience best practices.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and awareness of public cloud offerings such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience building globally scalable financial products.
- Experience defining current and future state roadmaps for products.
- Adaptable and ready to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of the software release process, environments, etc.
- Attention to detail, high quality standards, and ability to balance risk with technological advancements.
- Experience in testing methodology to ensure zero post-implementation incidents.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to build and foster relationships with business users, stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring alignment of functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Providing estimates for incoming projects at both high‑level and detailed level requirements.
- Oversee team’s support queue and facilitate problem‑solving discussions and communication between business and IT.
- Committed to continuous learning, education, and mentoring peers.
- Hands‑on technical experience in project management and modernization of legacy systems or similar initiatives.
- 3‑5 years of banking/financial industry experience and/or a Bachelor (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
- Strong technical background with ability to assess, provide feedback, and share knowledge in solution design.
