We are hiring experienced Loss Prevention Guards to work throughout the GTA. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our client’s facilities and property while contributing to a professional and supportive team environment.

• Position:
  Loss Prevention Guard
• Shift Requirement:
  Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 3:00PM – 8:00PM (1500 - 2000)
• Location:
  
  Scarborough, ON
• Training Requirement:
  All selected candidates must be available to attend 1–2 weekday daytime training sessions with a supervisor prior to starting shifts.

Candidates unable to this availability may not be considered.

The incumbent will need to be comfortable working independently and professionally dealing with confrontational persons within a grocery store (retail setting). Tactical experience is preferred.

• This is a plainclothes Loss Prevention position; no security uniform is required while working at the grocery store location.
• Candidates with flexible availability may be offered additional hours at other sites in uniformed Security Guard assignments, subject to operational requirements and site availability.

• Surveillance & Monitoring: CCTV is used to protect facilities and property.
• Theft Prevention:
  Actively monitor and approach individuals suspected of theft or fraud while blending seamlessly into the environment.
• Incident Reporting:
  Prepare detailed, accurate reports documenting thefts and apprehensions.
• Conflict Resolution:
  De‑escalate tense situations and intervene professionally when necessary.
• Emergency Response:
  Coordinate with law enforcement as required.
• Trespass Management:
  Escort unauthorized individuals from client premises.

• Must hold Valid Ontario Security Guard License issued by the Private Securities & Investigative Services Act.
• Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Level "C" certificate.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience with detaining and arresting shoplifters and working with a retail setting as a Loss Prevention guard is required.
• Strong knowledge of the five steps to effective detainment and arrest.
• Excellent observation, communication (spoken, written, and electronic), and safety awareness.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English is required.
• Secondary school education (or equivalent);
  Post-Secondary education is an asset.
• Access to personal vehicle is considered an asset.
