Description: Scarborough Schools is seeking a dynamic long-term substitute teacher to join our team through the end of the 2025–2026 school year, supporting Gifted and Talented programming for grades 3-5. Candidates who hold a 690 Endorsement, or who meet the requirements to obtain one, are preferred. The ideal candidate is student-centered, a strong communicator, and confident teaching middle school math, while bringing creativity and an integrative approach to reading instruction.
This role also includes providing small group and independent enrichment opportunities, helping our students reach their full potential in a supportive and engaging environment.
Qualifications
- Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification
- 690 Endorsement or eligibility preferred
- CHRC
