We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Sonographer, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will provide patient‑centered Sonography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Sonography Imaging (90%)
- Screens patient before exam for precautions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately for imaging
- Performs routine and advanced Sonography imaging procedures on designated body portions with minimal supervision
- Adjusts sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
- Follows physicians’ orders precisely and maintains accurate patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintains an orderly, clean work area, sanitizing equipment to promote safety habits
- Maintains the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Sonography Department Support (5%)
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary
- Assist with training of new team members, providing resources and technical expertise
- Other Duties as Assigned (5%)
- Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
