Overview

The Breakfast Attendant provides exceptional service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the hotel's breakfast area.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a high standard of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including tables and hotel spaces.
  • Support beverage and food service, including dishwashing, restocking, cleaning, and floor maintenance.
  • Know and communicate menu items, specials, and hotel information to guests.
  • Perform cashiering duties, including closing checks and shift paperwork.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, and perform side work duties.
  • Handle guest requests and special accommodations professionally.
  • Produce high-quality drinks as required, including specialty coffee, tea, and cocktails.
  • Respond to guest inquiries about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
  • Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications
    • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job performance.
    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; hotel or related experience is a plus.
    • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Legal age to serve alcohol and ability to pass responsible serving courses such as TIPs.
    • Ability to obtain a Food Handlers card as required by local regulations.
    • Ability to evaluate situations quickly and handle stressful situations professionally.
    • Understanding of hotel products, guest services, and etiquette.
    • Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
    • Basic knowledge of food and beverage standards and guest relations.
    • Numerical proficiency for basic operations.
    • Ability to read and write simple instructions and correspondence.
    • Patience, tact, and diplomacy in customer and staff interactions.
    • Willingness to learn, support team members, and respond positively to guests and colleagues.
