Cosmetics company Looking for Printing Operatorin the Scarborough Area.

Afternoon shift: 3pm-11pm

Main Purpose of Job
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Printing Operator II will be responsible for the operation of Flexographic Printing Press machines.

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains all equipment in accordance with SOPs, GMP and follows all
• safety procedures (PPE & emergency stops) and ensure complete documentation and
• administration reports,and accurate updating of logbook.
• Setup, operate & maintain Flexographic printer, label printers, coding,andembossing machines with high attention to detailand minimal supervision while maintaining consistent quality and flow of goods.
• To perform and produce accurate labels as per customer specifications, requirements and quantity.
• Ensure all stock and printing components are available daily.
• Proactively work with the designated team/ person in Maintenance teams for any needed repairs.
• Performs quality inspects on printed products to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Keeping work area organized and clean in accordance with the 5S principles.
• Perform duties of Printing Operator I as and when required.
• Cross training and rotation in packaging may be required/ performed.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

Reuqired Qualification:

Knowledge/Education

• High school diploma or Equivalent is a must, experience in a similar role and industry and/or post-Secondary education is an asset
• Must have WHMIS and GMP training.

Job Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience in a machine/ printing/ press operator capacity, preferrable Flexographic Printers.
• Team Oriented and self-directed
• Committed to Quality, Safety and Communication
• Good trouble shooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability & willingness to learn
• High attention to detail

Physical Requirement:

• Back:
  Regular lifting or carrying loads (20 – 50 lbs)
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Constant wrist movement
• Flexible for Overtime
