Afternoon Shift Junior Compo under in Scarborough, ON
Our client, a cosmetics manufacturer in Scarborough, is looking for a junior compo under to join their team ASAP.
Shift
Schedule:
Afternoon Shift 2:30 pm to 10:45 pm, Monday to Friday, Full-time
Salary: $18 - $20/hr + 4% vacation pay based on experience
Location:
Scarborough, at Eglinton and Warden (Accessible by TTC)
- Verify that all batch cards are correct and match the W/O before commencing production.
- Complete all tasks strictly in line with approved manufacturing procedures and processes.
- Communicate immediately with the respective team leader any unexpected issues and deviations from procedure if they occur.
- Complete all required in-process checks.
- Manufacture and color match batches.
- Complete all documentation to the required level of quality, accuracy and timeline and ensure all information is recorded in the correct documentation.
- Follow all procedures regarding GMP and Health and Safety.
- Ensure always working in a safe way to support fellow staff in maintaining a safe, clean and compliant working environment.
- Set-up, changeover and operate all equipment (Kettles, Vacuum kettles, homogenizers, mixers, etc.) within specifications.
- Complete all quality checks, submissions, approvals in line with required documentation and expectations.
- Support supervisory staff with opportunities/initiatives to increase output efficiency of the area.
- Ensure all output of the department meets/exceeds all standards and expectations of the organization, and support an environment of continuous improvement.
- Report details to the Business Unit Leader or Maintenance equipment deficiencies.
- Complete all required training and planned updates as required to support personal and department skill levels.
- Ensure all equipment used is in line with required cleaning, calibration, and process requirements.
- Train on all new, alternate department processes as required/directed by supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Have related experience in the manufacturing industry
- Basic computer skills
- Able to do heavy lifting
- Must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to follow instructions
- Ability to pass a Background Check
