Under minimal supervision, perform diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light‑commercial environments. Holds master plumbing and/or gas license as required. Ensures work complies with relevant codes. Assembles, installs, or repairs pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction. Promotes products and services. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.

- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel. Replace defective parts, fix leaks, and test systems.
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding.
- Locate and mark position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures; cut openings.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures using hand or power tools. Anchor steel supports as needed.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle using appropriate tools and machines.
- Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending as needed.
- Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details.
- Fill pipes or fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges.
- Direct helpers in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation.
- Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Maintain current plumbing and/or gas license following regulations.
- Stock company vehicle, return defective parts, and replenish supplies.
- Represent the company professionally in all business matters.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent with on‑the‑job and classroom training in plumbing.
- Seven years’ experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Plumbing and/or gas license as required by local, state, or national regulations.
- EPA and safety certifications required.
- Current knowledge of national, state, and local plumbing code regulations.
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate required tools.
- Knowledge of construction or repair machines and tools.
- Working proficiency in basic mathematics and metric and standard measurements.
- Proficiency reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting plumbing systems.
- Effective communication skills to resolve customer issues.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with HVAC industry is preferred.
- Willingness to train new plumbers in technical skills and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Availability for flexible hours and on‑call shifts.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and operate in varied environments.
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and up to 50 pounds unaided.
