Maintenance Technician; PLC

Maintenance Technician (PLC Knowledge Required) / $33 - $40 / 1st or 2nd Shift Available

A precision alloy manufacturer specializing in aluminum alloys for industrial and specialty markets. Part of a larger multi site metals group with a long standing history in metal casting and fabrication.

• 1. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• 2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery running at peak levels of performance.
• 3. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and components, utilizing schematics and technical drawings.
• 4. Coordinate with the production team to schedule repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• 5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• 6. Document all maintenance and repair work, maintaining accurate records for reference and reporting.
• 7. Keep the maintenance area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
• 8. Collaborate with other technicians and staff to share knowledge and solve complex problems.

• 1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing environment.
• 2. Proven experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and PLC systems is essential.
• 3. Technical training or certification in hydraulics, maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable.
• 4. Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• 5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment.
• 6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• 7. Proven ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• 8. Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• 10. Proficiency in using a variety of tools, including power and hand tools, for maintenance and repair tasks.

Salary: $33 - $40 per hour
