A Lead Community Support Specialist will support coordinating client services, along with providing both direct client services and leadership to team members.
As a Lead Community Support Specialist, you will be:
- Supporting the growth and development of our client services
- A liaison between clients, families and referral sources
- Providing guidance to team members through day‑to‑day support, 30‑day objectives and training
- Working with clients in the community to develop goals and objectives, including life and independence skills
- Ensuring quality service outcomes for our clients
- Communicating and collaborating with referral sources
The job might be for you if you have experience working with youth and adults with disabilities and:
- You are a great networker who enjoys building new relationships in the community
- You are highly organized and enjoy taking on new tasks
- You have experience supporting team members and providing feedback
- You thrive being part of a collaborative team
- You are flexible and adaptable to change
- Not required, but great if you have your DSP certification
Career growth opportunities – potential selection into our Management Training Program for people who have the following experience:
- Management of a small team
- Informal leadership in sports, clubs, or civic organizations
Additional requirements include:
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable with travel within the community
- Comfortable using technology for documentation and organization
