With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy. About the role. We're looking for a Health Safety Co-Ordinator to join our Health & Safety team at our Scarborough site. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you'll support the delivery of high standards across health, safety and environmental compliance, helping ensure our operations meet legislative, ISO and company requirements.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with site leaders, managers and colleagues to maintain and improve our Integrated Management Systems, carry out inspections and audits, support investigations, and promote a safe, responsible and compliant working environment. What you'll be doing. Supporting the HSE Manager to ensure site operations meet health, safety and environmental requirements in line with legislation and company standards.

Maintaining and supporting the ISO Integrated Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Carrying out internal and site-based HSE inspections and audits, helping identify hazards and ensure effective controls are in place. Preparing reports, data and analysis for senior and management teams, including accident statistics, trends and recommendations for improvement. Acting as a focal point for HSE matters, explaining policies, standards and directives to managers and employees.

Supporting managers in delivering HSE targets, goals and action plans to drive continuous improvement. Producing and communicating safety alerts following incidents, supporting timely investigations and helping promote learning and prevention. Coordinating H&S training activity with internal and external providers through the training department. Supporting fire safety, emergency procedures, first aid and fire warden cover across site. Challenging unsafe behaviours and helping ensure actions are closed out by the relevant managers or owners in a timely way.

What you'll need to be successful. NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 qualification.

Experience of HSE management processes. Knowledge of internal auditing, HSE legislation and compliance. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities. A proactive, assertive and self-sufficient approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to use data to drive performance and improvement.

Good IT skills, especially Excel. Experience working with multi-skilled, cross-functional teams. Knowledge of ISO 45001, experience dealing with regulatory bodies, project management or problem-solving experience would be advantageous. Benefits.
