Successful Candidate Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of live work sites and reinstatements under the New Roads and Street Works Act.
• Ensure compliance with permits, licences, and statutory requirements.
• Support the Coordination of works to minimise disruption for road users and pedestrians.
• Record inspection results accurately and take enforcement action where necessary.
• Investigate customer enquiries and third-party reports.
• Support winter maintenance operations, including road condition checks.

We're seeking a dedicated professional with proven street works inspection experience to join our Street Works Compliance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the integrity and safety of North Yorkshire's highways.

• Have proven experience in street works inspection or a similar role (highways/civils supervisor).
• Hold a current SWQR supervisors qualification.
• Have strong knowledge of relevant legislation: NRSWA 1991, traffic management act 2004, highways act 1980.
• Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (vehicle provided).
