History Teacher

Location: Scarborough
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026

GSL Education are looking for a History Teacher to join a secondary school in the Scarborough area, delivering engaging Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.

The school values critical thinking and subject knowledge, encouraging pupils to explore historical events through discussion and enquiry.

Teach History across KS3 and KS4

Plan engaging and inclusive lessons

Assess learning and track progress

Prepare pupils for GCSE History

Encourage analytical and evaluative skills

QTS with a History or Humanities specialism

Secondary teaching experience

Strong classroom presence and organisation

Enthusiasm for the subject
