Our Pupils
We are aspecialist school for pupils aged 8 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Our pupilsjoin us from mainstream schools because they benefit from a setting that can provide additional behavioural support and a more personalised approach tohelping them succeed.
We use a therapeuticapproach called Thrive to help support children and young people with their emotional and social development.
The Thriveapproach offers practical strategies and techniques, built around onlineassessments that identify children's emotional development and provides action plans for their individual needs.
Research hasshown that how we behave is linked to how we feel, and our emotions are linkedto how we learn. By teaching children to recognise and notice these feelingsand emotions it can help with their development and learning.

Our Opportunity
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Grade6 Senior Achievement Support Officers to join our ever expanding team and support the delivery of activities within Brompton Hall School.
This role is ideal for thoselooking to make a real difference to the lives of children with complex needs.
You will support and contribute to the lesson plans created by the teacher, using your skills and knowledge of our pupils to ensure customised learning can be delivered.
This role is wonderfullyvaried, you will be based both within and outside of the classroom. You will be required to use your initiative,and work with small groups, as well as at times be within the full class
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure pupil welfare and safety
• Deliver targeted interventions and use ICT toenhance learning
• Lead out-of-school activities and supervise students
• Manage resources and adapt strategies
• Provide clear feedback and assist with planning
• Support behaviour plans and safeguarding
• Encourage pupil engagement and independence
• Attend meetings, follow policies, and contribute toschool success
The successful applicant will have:
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification is essential
• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
• Understanding of National Curriculum, and othercodes of practice eg SEN, Equalities
• GCSE English and Maths Grade A-C (or equivalent - eg Certificate in Adult Literacy / Numeracy Level
2)
• The ability to build strong relationships with children, motivating and developing them
• A passion for seeing young people succeed
