Salary Scale: £92 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work across a range of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools in Scarborough. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate graduate who is eager to support young people in their learning while developing valuable experience within a school environment.
Graduate Teaching Assistant RoleThe successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will work alongside teachers to provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and help students engage confidently with their learning. We are looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with students, act as a positive role model, and contribute to an inclusive and engaging educational setting.
Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and effective classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional academic assistance
- Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and active participation in learning
- Support students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to promote student progress and wellbeing
- A degree in any subject or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or youth support
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with young people
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
