8:30am to 3:30pm (School day only)

As a SEND Pastoral Teaching Assistant, you will support children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to develop confidence, regulate their emotions and engage positively with learning.
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Communication and interaction needs
- Behavioural, emotional and pastoral support needs
- Providing one to one and small group pastoral support
- Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Encouraging engagement in learning and school life
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support individual pupils
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Choose when you work and accept assignments that suit your availability
- School hours only, 8:30am to 3:30pm
- Work across a variety of specialist schools in Scarborough
- Weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella companies
- Excellent opportunity to secure a long term or permanent position
- Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant
- Free CPD, including accredited safeguarding training
- £14.24 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities
