You will be supporting secondary school students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential. You may be working with students requiring additional academic support, pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), small intervention groups and whole class support alongside the classroom teacher. For HLTA roles, you may also be asked to deliver pre‑planned lessons and cover classes when required.
Keyresponsibilities
- Supporting students on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers to deliver engaging lessons
- Building positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and participation
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Delivering planned learning activities and lesson cover for HLTA roles
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
- Positive, adaptable and reliable
- Confident working with secondary‑aged students
- Able to build strong relationships with staff and pupils
- Committed to creating a positive learning environment
- Choose when you work and accept assignments that suit your availability
- School hours only, 8:30am to 3:30pm
