Are you looking for an exciting developmental opportunity in the movement, activity and sport sector? If yes, then this exciting new intern opportunity at North Yorkshire Sport, in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust (YST), could be for you.

North Yorkshire Sport Ltd are looking for a passionate and committed Children and Young People Intern to help children and young people fulfil their potential and feel happy and healthy in Scarborough.

We are seeking a person who will live and breathe our organisational values and behaviours, working comfortably on their own and as part of teams. You will be organised, driven by learning and able to articulate the difference your work makes.

You will be able to communicate and engage effectively with children and young people as well as demonstrate experience of supporting physical activity with the target audience.

Underpinning all of this will be a commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people and principles of equity and equality and well as being a champion for the voice of children and young people.

The role sits as part of our Children and Young People (CYP) team, supporting our CYP plan, with a focus on Scarborough, directly delivering the Set for Success Programme, funded by the Wimbledon Foundation in partnership with Barclays, alongside contributing to wider youth engagement work and the work of the Active Communities Team.

We can offer you a challenging and rewarding role at an exciting time for the charity. As well as the standard employee benefits (annual leave, flexible working etc) we also offer a strong commitment to support your personal development and growth. You will be working in a team that are supportive, determined to improve outcomes for young people and who would recommend the organisation as a great employer to work for.
