Requisition  Finance Analyst (Supply Chain) Scarborough
- Hybrid In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and passionate about creating exceptional work experiences - together. With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy. About the role. This is a role where your numbers really mean something. As a Financial Analyst, you'll work closely with the Business Controller, supporting Supply Chain, GB&I and EMENA teams to push financial performance across the business.

From deep-dive data analysis to KPI tracking and sharp financial insights, you'll be right at the heart of decisions that drive cost efficiency, productivity and operational performance. What you'll be doing. Month-End Close & Operational P&L Support You'll be hands-on with month-end close activities, owning journal entries, accruals and variance commentary across your allocated business areas. You'll keep things moving accurately and on time, making sure the books are closed in line with corporate deadlines and internal control requirements.

Financial Analysis & Reporting You'll produce monthly management reports that people actually use - P&L views, cost trends and KPIs that give commercial functions a clear picture of where they stand. Variance and trend analysis versus budget, forecast and prior year will be a core part of your week, with a sharp eye kept on data quality across ERP systems and reporting tools.

KPI & Performance Management You'll own and continuously improve operational KPI dashboards - covering areas like cost per unit, labour productivity, scrap costs, overtime and utilisation. Regular updates to the Finance Director will be part of the role, alongside digging into the root causes behind performance gaps and putting a financial figure on what they mean for the business. Budgeting & Forecasting Support Budget season won't phase you.

You'll support the full annual budget and forecasting cycle - consolidating inputs, building bridge analyses and making sure everything aligns with central Finance. Risks and opportunities won't go unnoticed on your watch. Business Partnering & Decision Support This isn't a back-office role. You'll work closely with Business Partners and the Finance Director, providing analysis that feeds directly into leadership reviews.

Whether it's modelling the financial impact of a shift pattern change, a headcount move or a production adjustment, your work will influence real decisions. Tools, Data & Process Improvement You'll be a go-to person for finance reporting tools and templates, and you won't just maintain the status quo - you'll look for ways to make things sharper, faster and smarter.

From BI tool adoption to process automation and dashboard development, you'll play an active role in how the Finance team evolves. Governance & Compliance You'll make sure that everything you produce stands up to scrutiny - aligned with group policies, internal control requirements and properly documented. You'll help build a strong controls environment within Operations Finance that the whole team can rely on.

What you'll need to be successful. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Maths or a related field 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a finance role, ideally with exposure to operations or manufacturing finance, FP&A, financial control or month-end close Experience working in a multinational or multi-site environment is a real plus A background in the food industry is a welcome bonus, though certainly not essential Your Technical Toolkit Solid understanding of month-end close processes, including accruals, variance analysis and cost allocation Confident in Excel - pivot tables, lookups and basic financial modelling are second nature to you Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools is a bonus Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred Comfortable working with large volumes of data - finding the errors others miss and turning raw numbers into clear, reliable outputs Benefits.

Although we do encourage you to taste the goods, you'll be pleased to know we don't pay you in chips. Alongside your salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including:
Private healthcare [singe] An excellent salary sacrifice pension scheme where we'll contribute double what you do, up to a maximum of 12% of your salary 25 days' annual leave from day one plus bank holidays (increasing with service), giving you plenty of time to recharge with the opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days holiday per year Life insurance cover providing peace of mind for you and your family Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, because the moments that matter outside of work matter to us too Medicash health cash plan, helping you claim money back on everyday healthcare costs, with access to a virtual GP and wellbeing support TELUS Health employee and family assistance…
