About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production processes. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Set up, operate and monitor machines.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs.
- Replace components such as belts, bearings, and seals.
- Conduct continuity checks and basic diagnostics.
- Support commissioning and testing activities.
- Follow technical drawings and assembly instructions accurately.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure every product meets high standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient production flow and meet targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work space.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Strictly apply standardised processes in manufacturing across various tasks, including basic maintenance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to established standards to ensure the quality of operations.
- Identify and communicate risks related to health, safety, quality, and environmental issues to the Team Leader.
- Report all incidents and near misses, following the escalation process for any deviations.
- Process orders accurately and promptly.
- Develop knowledge of products and systems.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
To thrive in this role, you should have the following:**
Skills- Competency in operating and maintaining electrical machinery.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Basic fault diagnosis and corrective actions.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical safety standards.
- Efficiency and accuracy, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Practical aptitude for science or engineering.
- High flexibility and dependability.
- Motivated mindset, eagerness to learn, and a good attendance record.
